Everyday, i like trying out new styles which always results to new experience and knowledge on my own personal style as a fashion blogger. Firstly, you have to find the inner confidence or let me say your style confidence in order to achieve your fashion goals.
Getting out of your comfort zones like trying out different outfits, looking at fashion blogs can also help you attain your own personal style. Few of the fashion bloggers i usually look at is Gallucks and Jordan Bunker . These fashion bloggers have very interesting content and also they are very creative.

Is it Dope? or Swag?

February 18, 2016

I've always entertained new ideas and creativity when it comes to fashion. There are things i see and i just can't help myself. If am walking on the streets and i see someone whose appearance speaks to me , i will walk up to the person and give them a thumbs up.
It is quite difficult nowadays to actually see someone with creativity when it comes to dressing. It just  comes naturally to some people.

Quite frankly, must people don't know how to look, they don't know what they like when it comes to fashion. These people are the ones that try to recreate another person's look. Some go as far as buying the exact dress and the exact shoe so as to look that part. In most cases, it actually looks better on them but also in most cases it does not. Fashion is suppose to be art, it suppose to be creative. There is no problem in taking another person's style but you don't have to go as far as buying the person's exact outfit when you can actually pull off the style by adding a little creativity.

Now is it Dope? or is it Swag?. Honestly most fashion lovers don't know how to use these terms anymore. Most of them don't even know how to look these terms anymore. What is being Dope?. I think being dope has to do with idea. if i start looking at someone appearance to create my own way of dressing then it's safe to say i'm dope but Swag on the other hand has to do with creativity and art. These are the people that fashion comes naturally to. They are the ones the dope-ones imitates. You must have heard the phrase, "that guy got swags", it just simply means there is enough fashion tips to go around.

To mention a few, artist like Tyga, Chris B and Tyga got swags. People learn how and what to wear just by looking at this people. They just always stand out.
I always encourage people to create their own style and you don't have to be a celebrity to do that. Your swags might end up making you a celebrity but then again, you have to be creative.
The celebrity i mentioned and many more that i didn't, all have fashion brands. This should come with no surprise like i said they've got swags and there is enough fashion to go around.

We also have some that falls in both categories. The ones that are dope and also got swags. This people i have nothing to say about. They are few and they just stand out when it comes to fashion. The artistry, creativity and the ability to recreate fashion appearances of other people are their well known characteristics.
They are also people that don't fall under any category, please don't let us even go there. The question now is are you Dope? or have you got Swag?

Student Life in Northern-Cyprus

I was going to do a review about my school as asked but i choose to do a review on Northern-Cyprus instead as it has more impact on the life of the student than the school.
Northern-Cyprus is well known for it's quality education and the safety it provides for students and this is why parents from all across the world sends their children here, including me. I'm not gonna lie, i don't really like the country because it is a secluded one. Bare in mind that this is a personal opinion and i hope it doesn't affect your decision to study here. I don't think Northern-Cyprus is on the world map has it has been separated from the Greek side which leaves Turkey to be it's only support. Most of you would know it as Turkish Republic of Northern-Cyprus(T.R.N.C).

I have so many reason for not liking the country but am still here. I'm still here because of the fact that they have good programs for student. You can really experience true student life in Northern-Cyprus. Student life in the country is almost compared to none. I mean apart from the safety guaranteed by the country of which i am a living testimony of, you have freedom to be what you want to be and how you want to live. Students are very free in the country, this freedom as brought out the positive side of some students and also the negative side in others.

I am a student of Eastern Mediterranean University and ever since i got here, especially during my Freshman year that i was engaged in different activities for new students, i have really explored to some extents. I wasn't really a big fan of In-campus accommodation, so i stayed off-campus and till date i still am. There is just something about nature that i love so much. In Eastern Mediterranean university, they offer the best of the best education and life on campus is fine but it is not just for an explorer like me.
Student life in Northern-Cyprus shows you how life is and also prepares you or let me say shapes you for the future. Apart from everyday party and everyday fun, you have the chance to become part of something great. Take for instance the international assistant program offered by the university where you get to meet lots of international students. As an assistant and a student you can make a contact out of this opportunity. There are also jobs you could apply for and different sporting activities also that generates income. People always say that, if you know your way in Northern-Cyprus then life becomes easy and i couldn't agree more.

People also considers the language barrier but as a student, learning a new language isn't a bad thing. It is a good thing to consider but then, all lectures are taught in English and every lecturer can speak very good English. The tricky part is that, Northern-Cyprus is filled with more international students from all over the world than it's own citizens.
Yes i had some experience of my own whilst trying to communicate to people back then, especially to the ladies but i had no trouble trying to communicate with the other students that aren't Turks.
So far, my university is the best in Northern-Cyprus and it is located in Magusa. If you read my post on SIGHTSEEING IN FAMAGUSTA, you would have an idea on how Magusa looks like and how interesting the city is.

Please don't forget to like and share. You can also comment below and receive a proper thank-you from me.

The Yeezy Season3 - #DRESSTHEYEEZYWAY

February 16, 2016

It's no doubt that the Yeeszy season 3 debut was a success and with that being said, i would like to give a shout-out to the models for their excellent performance, they really acted their character and gave us the perfect intro on how to dress the Yeezy way.
My first review on the Yeezy series was the Yeezy Pride. It gave a major shout-out to the Yeezy boost which has been making waves since day 1, with that being said, i would like to introduce the next episode of this series titled, "Dress the Yeezy way".

First of all, i must declare my love and respect for the man behind it all, Kanye. His creativity and his love for art is what made Yeezy today and it takes an extraordinary person to accomplish what he has started because the Yeezy series ain't over yet. His Album titled, T.L.O.P meaning the life of Pablo was also a success and he couldn't have picked a better name.
Dressing the Yeezy way is now a trend in the fashion industry and it's acceptance by fashion lovers all over the world comes with no surprise. Everybody wants to dress the Yeezy way, even the ones that don't have the Yeezy brand, tries to imitate the dressing. Most of you might be wondering what it is? what is dress the yeezy way?. Well continue reading and find out what it is.

What is Dressing the Yeezy way?

Dressing the Yeezy way is leaving the regular fit patterns to your dresses and making the oversize pattern number one.As you must have seen in any of Kanye's appearances, he always wears the oversize of everything but his touch to it is just a masterclass. It is amazing and with no doubt, a touch of art. Most people right now would disagree, they would say the oversize thingy as been going on for ages of which i couldn't agree more, but it took a genius touch to make it widely acceptable by fashion lovers all over the world. We all know the normal dressing manner from back in the day. From dem baggy jeans to dem boot-cut and then the skinnys that wasn't popularly then but that's not the point here, the point is showcasing the Yeezy way.
I wasn't in his fashion show but seeing the models and kanye alone, gave a clear picture on dressing the yeezy way. Season 3 was dope and it gave rise to new designs that will yield mad income for Kanye. Honestly i don't know where he gets his ideas from, they are so out of this world. I really wish i could meet him someday, then i'd be sure to learn a few tips from him because knowledge is power.

How to dress the Yeezy way?

You have to like the Oversize everything. It's has simple as that. Kanye has made this look simple because it comes naturally to him, it's his style. Some people try to go above and beyond trying to accomplish this look but to no good. I can pull of the #dressthekanyeway  because i am a great fan of the oversize everything. From my Hoodies to my sweatpants, everything is oversize. Please note that your shoes don't have to be oversize, you don't want to look ridiculous trying to pull of the #dressthekanyeway.

Stay tuned for more post and be sure to comment so that i can give you a proper thanks for reading with me all this while.

24 hours in Istanbul

February 13, 2016

Valentine's day is around the corner and i was thinking of what i could possibly do make this day worthwhile, so i decided to take a days trip to Istanbul for shopping. I have been to Istanbul before, but that was when i was coming to school which was necessary, being that you have to pass through Istanbul to get to Northern-Cyprus.
I got the ticket on Thursday and i took off on that same day because i just got a one day ticket. I have always wondered what Istanbul would be like because i haven't really been there. I had imaginations of the place and what it would look like being that i only passed through the airport when i was coming to school. I was scared to death when the plane developed this vibrating noise and everyone was instructed to tighten their belts, it really took me off balance as i have been on several flights and i have never experienced the vibrating thingy before which eventually stopped at one point.

Finally touchdown. We got to Istanbul and it was as expected. I always knew the airport was a busy place, as a matter of  fact, everything i bought was from the airport except my visit to Zara. I got to Istanbul very late and i went straight to the hotel i had reserved for this trip. It was very fascinating, and i kept on saying to myself that i needed to do this often. The feeling was so great, the people were so warm and welcoming and everybody i met liked me instantly because i could speak and interact in their language. The free gifts i was given that night before i headed to the hotel almost felt like i had started shopping. The feeling was priceless and what re-experiencing.
I got to the hotel and i requested for my meal, then i slept afterwards because i had to regain energy for the rest of the trip. One advice i hope to give is that, if you can speak their language as a foreigner that you are, never and i repeat never engage in a conversation.

It was dawn already and i did the normal morning routine except for the fact that i didn't brush my teeth. I had forgotten my toothbrush. I went in search of toothbrush because i wasn't in a five star hotel nor 3 for that matter but i definitely had a good sleep. I didn't find any toothbrush but i got a mouth-spray and held on to my mint chewing-gum. I am not going to lie, i felt off but then again i didn't notice after i started my tour. I started walking from my hotel to the airport because it wasn't that far and i must say it was definitely worth it. Along the way, my first stop was to ZARA.
Zara has a-lot of good and quality designs from their shirts up to their shoes but they never ship to Northern-Cyprus and for this reason i wanted to ask why. So i got they and they explained some policy thingy i couldn't understand and told me they were going to start soon enough.
I couldn't help myself but look around their beautiful store, it was amazing.

I didn't plan on getting anything from Zara but i helped myself with a nice pair of shoes at a very ridiculous discount because i had just contributed to their customer service.
I continued my walk to the airport with my with my backpack as i was already prepared to leave immediately after i had finish getting all the things i needed. When i got to the airport, there wasn't much difference. It was always crowded as usual with people from everywhere trying to connect to their flight. I helped myself to the Victoria's Secret, to get a little something for my Bestie  for valentines although the price was crazy , she was worthy of it. I thought the trip was going to be boring but it wasn't. I had calculated that i would have about 4hrs left after i must have finished shopping but those four hours was the best part of the trip. i went on to continue my shopping which eventually finished by 6pm and my remaining four hours began.

I was at the cafe when i met this lady, she was Turkish but she could speak English very fluently but i didn't know because i wanted to show my ability of being able to communicate in their language. We started talking, asking lots of questions, at a point i was scared, i thought she was a detective or something, that she was trying to find out about why i came to Istanbul but i was wrong. She was just trying to relate with a foreigner because they like to relate with people. She asked me about my school and as i told her the name she stopped me and said she had a daughter in my school. The conversation got interesting, she started asking me if i had seen  her, showed me her picture and i must say she really has a cute daughter. She immediately called her daughter and she started explaining to her daughter what had happen, she introduced me and that moment, i admitted within myself that i had never been so lucky and that coming to this cafe was the best idea of this trip. We talked and laughed for two hours and we kept on going.

Thirty minutes more for me to start preparing, she gave me a package intended for her daughter. she said she was going to send it through the express mail service but there was no need for that anymore. This she said in English and i was shocked. She smiled as i willingly collected the package after which she stood up to take a photo with me. After taking the photo, we said our goodbyes and i left to board my flight.
I got back to my school safely with the thought of going back to Istanbul again someday. It was definitely worth it and Valentine couldn't have given me a nicer date. Yes people, i am going on a date with the lady's daughter i had met in Istanbul.

My love for Turkish-Coffee and my Lack of Sleep

February 10, 2016

I am a coffee lover like most other people. I derive pleasure from taking a cup of coffee any day and anytime. Before i came to Northern-Cyprus, i was just a normal 8'o clock in the morning Nescafe guy but ever since i came here, I've had a change in delight.
It has been almost two years now and i can't imagine how many cups of Turk-Kahve i must have taken. Although i started drinking their coffee a year after my stay, it almost feels like forever.

I have learnt a-lot from the Turks. They aren't racists in any-way but language barriers have prevented them from communicating with the foreigners. The Turks take their kahve every-time with a stick of cigarette. This is just normal, you can never see a Turk drink kahve without a cigarette. When i first got here, i instantly fell in-love with their culture and their way of life. I made lots of friends and now,  my ability to speak their language have given me lots of friends and benefits.

Turk-kahve? This is their own coffee. I don't know the ingredients but i'm definitely in-love with the coffee. It comes in various form, we have the Ota-oza and the Sade-oza. The Ota-oza is with sugar while the other one is without. They are also different brands like the Mehmet and so on. My favorite one is the one with the sugar. The sugar is in the cube form and the Ota is just a way of saying 1 cube of sugar. I remember  when i first tasted the coffee, i can't deny the feeling i had afterwards, it's like i was reborn and full of energy. This very day, i was hanging out with my Turkish friends and then they asked me if i'd wanted coffee, i said yes and the next thing i heard was,"Adamsin", meaning You are a man. I got the coffee and we started drinking, the coffee is always accomplished with a glass of water because of it's thickness. That was the day i fell in-love with the coffee, the day i stopped from being the Nescafe guy to the Ota-oza guy.

After drinking the coffee, they always turn the cup upside down, it's like a form of folklore where they predict the future or prophesy good things to you. It is their culture and because i know the language it became very easy to understand what they meant and why they do what they do. The Turks are nice people, especially the Cypriots. They are very friendly and their passion for learning other peoples culture is just amazing.

Every love comes with a great price, mine being my lack of sleep. As you all know, i am on holidays but the one thing you don't know is that i have been having insomnia. I don't consider this a bad thing in anyway because it helps me read , update my blog and it also gives me time to think. For future tourist, Turk-Kahve is definitely worth trying and for those really interested, you can learn how t prepare it on YouTube. It's very straight forward.

OUTFIT PICK - Getting Back to School with the BOOHOO MAN

February 08, 2016

In less than a week, the rush is going to start again. Personally i have back to school week. In my university, before we start the semester,  we have to register and register. They made it so compulsory with particular dates and failure to meet this dates means you are at risk.
Well this doesn't affect me one bit, as long as i have my internet and my schedules are intact and up to date then i am safe.

Yes, back to school. My school is like any other school in the fashion aspect of the back to school week. Everybody has started shopping for shoes, tees and other accessories to make them look dope during the semester. You remember how i told you that most of the things in my city are fakes, yes that is true and that is why shopping online has been the talk of the week in my school.
Personally i like the Asos brand, they have a lot of good quality materials and they make it affordable for students. Although we don't get the actual discount for students because it is UK based, Asos still manages to satisfy student all over the world. Don't get me wrong, I like other brands too, the likes of Top-Man, River Island and many more have also been patronized by the students of Northern-Cyprus.

Recently, i just discovered another online fashion brand that the student buy from. Its is called Boohoo. I have always known about this brand, just last year i purchased different items from them and i must say, they looked good.
I always pay attention to the students here, i look at what they wear and i can immediately say where it was gotten from because of my much dedicated time to online stores. Just recently, people started receiving their orders and i can;t help but notice the Boohoo logo on the pack and it got me thinking about the brand again. So i went online and i saw that they had this "mad sales" going on with some dope dresses.

I started surfing their pages, looking at different styles and i couldn't help myself. Their style-steals was just so great that it has helped me make up my mind that this semester should be about Boohoo. I don't know much about the ladies in my school but if they are reading this, then they should definitely checkout the Boohoo online so. The boohoo man is definitely the deal this semester.
When it comes to dressing for University, I’ll often dress for my mood. So if I’m up at 7am and I see the weather’s quite miserable, I’ll often stick on a pair of skinnies, trainers, a thick jumper and walk out. Then other days I may find myself introducing loud prints to my outfit or try something different with my layering. So i started my adventure buy picking the Harrington Jacket and the clay wash skinnies because it just might come in handy. Just incase i needed another sports shoe .

Let me know what you think of this Boohoo MAN outfit. What do you wear in your university?

Rocking the Beardgang style

February 07, 2016

Not everyone is gifted with the ability to grow a beard but mist people want to have beards. Keeping beards is not a taboo neither is it a sin but not taking care of the beards should definitely be considered one.
I myself i am a beard keeper, not that there is any medal or reward for it but i will say they are benefits from it, as a beard keeper, you'd know what i mean. I started keeping my beards for almost two years now and whilst i see people shaving their beards around me trying to look responsible, at-least that's what they say, i'd just take good care of mine.
Some people has kept their beards for so long, giving it take of two-years, some three, four, five and it still looks nice with the reason being, they took care of it properly. Rocking the beardgang style is all about keeping the beards neat. Regular trimming and all makes the look attractive to others, especially the opposite sex.

There are ways you can use to take care of your beards. People ask me, why do you keep your beards, doesn't it itch you?. Well i take good care of my beards with good products and it doesn't itch me, not one bit.
I will show you how to care for for your beards and rock it in the beardgang manner. They are two ways to this,
  • First of all, i will start with the people that are growing the beards.
If you are growing the beards all you need to know is how to keep it clean to avoid rashes, bumps and all other skin infections.

Keeping a beard clean

Just like your hair, wash and shampoo your beard regularly. A mild shampoo is easier on your skin.
After shampooing, you may use a conditioner. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Failure to rinse sufficiently may result in flaking. Because beard hairs are so coarse, conditioners will have less effect on the beard than on the hair on your head. But a conditioner will still help make your beard feel softer.
Gently pat and wipe your beard dry with a towel. Blow drying is not really necessary and can be harsh on your skin. Brush your beard with a wide brush to remove tangles.

  • Secondly, for those that have the beards already, follow these steps,
Wash It Regularly
This is especially important in the early stages of growth, when trapped food and skin cells can exacerbate the itchiness. Scrub your beard several times each week with a specialized cleanser, like Badass Beard care Wash, then gently pat it dry: An overzealous toweling can lead to frizz and split ends.

Love Thy Beard Oil
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Nothing tames a beard like regular use of beard oil. There are many varieties to choose from, in a range of manly scents, but all of them will condition hairs to make them softer and shinier.  Badass Beard care oil is a tried-and-true favorite.

Learn to Train Your Beard
A regular trim will maintain your chosen shape, but it’s not the only way to keep your beard in line. A daily rubdown with a comb or beard brush will wrangle stubborn hairs, training them to grow in a downward direction. You can even up the ante with a soft-hold styler, like Jao Bomade Beardscent, which lends some extra sculpting power while taming any flyways.

Don’t Forget the Mustache
Unless you’ve chosen a chinstrap—and we really hope you didn’t—growing an epic beard also means growing a mustache. To keep it looking neat, trim the area around your philtrum (the area under your nose) with a pair of grooming scissors, and keep it naturally sculpted with a medium-hold wax, like Badass Beard care Wax.

The reason for badass beard care is because it has given me the best result for my beards. It is just as simple as that. Instead of Badass Beard care you can try another product. They are many product out there, you just have to find them..

The Yeezy Pride

February 06, 2016

It is no longer news that Yeezy has a strong-foot in the sneakers community. Everybody wants to own a pair of Yeezy, including the old and young.
Yeezy was designed by a business mogul and a fashion icon known as Kanye West. I remember when the Yeezy boost 350 came out, everyone wanted to have a pair including me but it became sold out and the retailers inflated the price ridiculously and then i couldn't get one. blah..blah ..blah..

One thing about the Yeezy boost is that there is this pride that comes with it. The people that wears this brand will know what am talking about. I remember when my friend got one, fortunately for him, he always treated it like it was gold. Yes it is comfortable, befitting but what i don't know is what spirit it possesses.
Yeezy lovers can't deny the in-explainable feeling they have when they put on that shoe, because the feeling is just so visible and that is why i call it. "The Yeezy pride".
I remember when i wore my friend's pairs of Yeezy, i remember every details of this moment because it never happened again. It was so comfortable and very light, i could move very freely and my walking changed because i had just worn the Yeezy 350.

Personally, i think that this feeling comes from the maker. We all know Kanye is proud but humble. So they is no denying that he might just have passed it on with his designs. Just joking but in a way it can be true.
Yes i don't own a pair of Yeezys but i would like to. It's just very comfortable. It goes perfectly on anything, be it casuals or dem sporty wears, Yeezy is just perfectly suitable for all purpose. Even the fake wearers of the brand developed the-same feelings.

Countless of times, i have wanted to buy the Yeezy boost 350 because they are many of them in Northern-Cyprus but the fact is they are all fake. As a lover of sneakers and the brand, i owe it to myself to be able to differentiate between the original and the fake.
Am sorry to say but all the Yeezy Boost i have seen so far in this country and especially in my school are all fakes. Starting with the price is just one way to know it is a fake because they is no way a brand of that caliber can sell for as low as $30.

If you have the Yeezy Pride, it is not something to be ashamed of, it can do you no harm people. It is not just a shoe, it is a product of a fashion icon and one of the biggest fashion brand, if not the biggest in the world. It is the Adidas Yeezy Boost.

P.S. my favorite color would definitely be red  or the camouflage color. They are the dopest of them all.

My love for Sneakers(Asos, Adidas, Nike)

As a student, one of the things i always want to have is a pair of sneakers. Am not talking about the chocolate bar sneakers, am talking real about the foot-wear sneakers.
Sneakers for me is one of the most important area in my day-to-day outfits. I always want to make sure that my sneaker is neat and dope. Ever since high-school, I've always wanted to have the best of the best sneakers and also stand out in my way of dressing.

I am a student majoring in information technology, a football player and also a fashion enthusiast. I am a lover of denims and also, i am more of a simple dresser. In my department everybody keeps on asking me where i get my foots from because they always like the ideas i bring out.
First of all, it is the design of the foot and then again the way i rock the foot is another thing.
I remember when i came to Northern-Cyprus, everyone has the same pattern of dressing, only few stood out. Some question my pairs ask me are.

REVIEW - How to Rock dreads with style

February 05, 2016

There’s a lot of work that goes into starting dreads and maintaining them. Dreads are very deceiving. From the perspective of someone without dreads, they may appear to be maintenance free. But in reality, to maintain nice, clean, healthy-looking dreads, it can take hours after each wash. Dreads are a labor of love, so make sure when you choose to dreadlock your hair that you consider the TLC that goes into it. It's a good idea to consult your stylist for a little help and guidance, too.Want to try rockin' the fashion yourself? Here are four key things to keep in mind .

Wash
Most  people always ignore this particular step, they prefer the,"mercy after death situation", in which you wash your hair two weeks after. Contrary to popular belief, you have to wash your dreads! There are mixed reviews out there, though. Most people say once a week, but some say once a month. What's important is to know your hair and keep the dreads clean. Try using a residue-free shampoo and a leave-in conditioner to prevent product buildup on your dreads.

Dry
You may find this hard to believe, but dreads can grow mold if they are left wet for too long. If your dreads are still relatively new, this is when you add some of your maintenance product, such as a lock accelerator or heavy pomade. Let them air dry for a bit, then, to be safe, use a blow dryer toward the end to ensure they are dry.

Wax
If you are looking to maintain nice, clean and natural-looking dreads, it's important to use as little product as possible. The one product dread wearers often recommend is beeswax. The wax will help smooth away any frizz and keep the dreads tights. You work the wax into your dreads by rolling. Remember: A little bit goes a long way!

Roll
What does that mean? Roll the dread back and forth between the palms of your hands to firm up its shape a bit. It helps keep all the hairs together and gives the dreads an overall cleaner appearance. While you are rolling, you may want to look for any loose hairs that didn't make it into a dread or have grown out on their own. You have two options here: You can roll these into a mini dread and work them into the nearest big dread, or sew them in with string or dental floss.
